City Attorney Winthrop S. Smith, at the Republican Town Committee meeting Thursday, braced his fellow party members for a potential embarrassment coming their way.Smith said he expects an e-mail to surface in the coming days written by one town committee member to another that uses “derogatory” language about another city Republican.
Mayor James L. Richetelli Jr. was CC’d on the e-mail, making it a public document, Smith and town committee Chairman Tom Jagodzinski said.
