City Balance Sheet Dilemma! Blake Proves Worse Than Richetelli

FACTS DO NOT LIE! Milford Republicans prove themselves as less irresponsible than Milford Democrats. The Graph below demonstrates that when it comes to eroding the city balance Sheet, Mayor Ben Blake has topped all previous records held by the previous kleptocrat Jim Richetelli. The city is not yet bankrupt because we still have more assets than liabilities, but we are well on our way with Blake "the snake." I predicted some years ago that under the present trends the city would be in big trouble around 2014 at the latest, because that is when (under the present trends) Milford would have depleted its entire asset base. Every good accountant will tell you that when you have more Liabilities than assets you have a negative net worth or in other words you are bankrupt. This makes borrowing more difficult and creditors grow concerned about a responsible plan whereby the city can balance not only its budget but its books. This often results in a massive spike in property taxes, credit downgrades and a decline in services. The future of Milford looks bleak with this administration we may want to think about a change come next election.

An Open Letter To Our State Legislators

Dear State Reps.,

The state as you know is in dire straits due to the economic downturn. Currently, and with the rise of ill constructed discord, I see you in a “No Win” situation. If you vote to raise taxes you are going to upset those who have to pay them, If you do not vote to raise taxes you will let down your political party, maybe even be labeled as an anti-union worker rights representative or a poor “team player.” In my conversations one person mentioned something that was “very honest” they said “the state budget deficit is so large that we could lay off all 48K state employees and still be in debt.” George Orwell once said “that in a time of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act” perhaps you should give this some thought.

There are many passionate and concerned people in our state and district who are really worried that higher taxes will cut into their already difficult lives. There is uncertainty over whether or not they will get pay raises or find the additional money to pay new taxes. This is at a time when health insurance costs among other things have increased dramatically. Milford , like our state, is also not exempt and is expected to have a colorful budget debate this evening over the same types of money problems.

The nature of recessionary politics does not demand a good or a bad vote (there is no such thing on this one vote,) what it does do is define leaders. It separates those who triumph as advocates who stand up to the wishes and consent of the governed while exposing those who usurp the process to cater to their personal careers and future ambitions. This is an issue that I personally believe you are all equipped to handle, because in the end I hope and pray that you will all be kind enough to tune in to the many concerns of your constituents who have also been praying for economic relief wherever they can find it.

Austerity measures are coming, this is inevitable and it’s not anyone in Hartford’s fault. This is a sad fact and consequence of the immutable nature of our nation and this states federally induced decline. This decline is a bipartisan result of costly wars, the Federal reserve and its Quantitative easing, the bailouts of the “too big to fails,” the loss of jobs to China and a stellar rise of gas prices accompanied by inflation.

Recognize and consider that your vote will be of little meaningful consequence either way the fate of our state has already been pre-determined for us by the Federal Government through its actions. The forces at work have clearly put Entropy in charge of Connecticut’s future. The process is known as the Hegelian Dialectic. We both know that the solutions proposed here in our state have already been tried in other states we need to look no further than California, Ohio or some other states who have tried the exact same approaches as our Governor is proposing. We both know that taxpayers are not governed by tables and laws but rather their own personal free will, willingness to comply and most importantly ability to comply. No one is going to go hungry or homeless because of taxes, people will survive and live in defiance.

While I cannot tell you for certain if more laws and higher levy’s on peoples income and property will work, I will tell you that you should listen to the polls and stand on the side of the people on this very delicate issue of higher taxes. Your integrity, your conscience, your heart, your understanding and your love of humanity is what is on the line. The people of our state and Milford need to see all of you as informed leaders who have identified and is courageously standing up to our oppressors.

This time around you all have a very important vote to make and I hope you stand with the people who love and count on you. I would encourage you to work harder than ever in standing up for the rights of this state and all who live here. Hopefully by now you have figured out who to hold accountable for our states financial problems. May God have mercy on us all!

Milfords Budget Showdown Looms

Greg Smith the current Republican board of Alderman Chair has placed the below quote on his Facebook page this week and anyone in Milford who is concerned about taxes going up and up along with everything else is encouraged to attend. Smith said:

"The Board of Aldermen will hold a Public Hearing regarding the 2011-2010 Budget on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 7pm in the City Hall Auditorium. This is your chance to be heard and hear what others have to say. I hope to see you there."

The Milford Democrats have posted the following graph (below) on their Democrat Blog. The graph clearly states that the only tax decrease ever realized in Milford was under the leadership of past BOA Chairman Ben Blake. The chart, according to its author states "The Mayor's speechifying aside; the numbers are speaking for themselves. Mayor Richetelli has proposed an average 4.6% annual increase in spending during his tenure."

This years budget, like last years budget marks additional increases that the mayor indicates are required to maintain educational and essential services. The Board of Education last year, closed Simon Lake school and this year taxes are expected to go up again another few hundred dollars per home owner. The bigger problem is the loss of education funds, an estimated 1.5 Million or $7.00 in additional taxes per taxable property.

The Showdown now is on between taxpayers, teachers, and parents. Taxpayers are upset with high tax increases every year, the teachers and city unions are upset with constant requests for concessions and layoff threats, and parents are upset their kids education, along with city services, are in constant decline.

There is not much clarity on where all the money is going and why taxpayers have to pay more every year just so every area of government can be scaled back. This in my opinion is distressing, especially after you look at the above chart and realize that its true we are paying more for less.

Some feel that these problems are symptomatic of a leadership crisis in Milford, that there are abuses of the fiduciary responsibility between taxpayers and their elected leaders. Others blame the unions for being excessive in their demands and off paycheck benefits such as excessive pension contributions, first class health care benefits and office perks negotiated through collective bargaining. 

Some city leaders are squarely placing blame on our elected leaders at the state and federal level. Its their opinion, that they are to blame for not restoring funds to local cities and municipalities. Last month our Mayor Jim Richetelly was up in Hartford protesting the proposed changes to the (MME's) The Chair of Commerce Rep. Jeff Berger spoke about these proposed changes to the Manufacturing Machinery & Equipment reimbursement to municipalities (MME's) in the governor's budget and the potential to affect his and other cities whose budgets rely on these state funds. Rep. Berger has been meeting with colleagues to find alternatives to reduce the impact on local budgets if the proposed cuts are approved.

Milford, like Waterbury, has a very heavy manufacturing base and will be impacted negatively if these funds are lost. Moving forward, if our Democratic Representatives and Senators fail to confront our new governor  the city may have to rely on creative accounting and new ways of procuring tax revenue. This task will be especially difficult in the current down economy where inflation is high, the dollar weak, and public sentiment toward government is at an all time low.

People are fed up with the enigmatic implementation of multiple layers of taxes. The frustration only worsens when people realize those taxes levied upon them are in tandem with a continuing loss of city services. Some have even decried that every year we move a little closer to a community based on "taxation without representation."

While no real significant protests have emerged as of yet in Milford, the Independent party does urge every able citizen to attend the upcoming budget meeting and let them know that this is your town. The budged is not "the budget" the budget is what it needs to be to preserve the integrity of our schools and keep our homes affordable during a period of contraction something the city of Milford continues to struggle with.

The 2012 Enigma Why Should We Care?

Enigmatic as it may be the year 2012 certainly has been sensationalized. This has happened at the movie theater, on the History Channel, I have even heard of Mayan prophecies, and prophecies from Web Spiders, to the lost book of Nostradamus.

The conspiracies surrounding 2012 are everywhere, and they are more pervasive and disconcerting than the Y2k Computer bug could have ever dreamed. There is no shortage of paranoia when it comes to 2012, especially those wealthy elite who are creating an esoteric real estate market of under ground shelters. Companies like Bechtel are thriving with a shovel and a tunnel boring machine. The frenzy and paranoia is endless and the mad rush to be prepared for this epoch Mayan dooms day has become an industry on to itself.

Of all the theories none amuse me more than the Nibiru/ Planet X theory. This tall tale comes from the Ancient Sumerian texts that read more like an episode of Star Gate SG9 than a credible archaeological record. The mad rush to doomsday preparation is only exaggerated by the fact that no one can accurately predict the future, nor can we guarantee that there are undiscovered planetoids, comets, asteroids, or near earth objects that threaten Earth.

Looking back we must never forget the lesson of Schumaker Levy, the largest planetary impact of a space based asteroid. No real scientists disagrees that the potential for an asteroid or impact on the earth from a space object is impossible, as a matter of fact we are warned that the possibility is real and they have even named Apothis Earth's greatest future threat.

None of these, however are Nibiru, nor are any expected to arrive in the year 2012, so why all the hype? Personally I think there is much mis-information out there and those who have inordinate amounts of money are not inconvenienced by having the insurance policy of an underground shelter.

These people, perceived as eccentric by some are in-fact concerned about some real issues. Of all the 2012 conspiracies out there there are two that are very hard to dismiss. The one that I find most alarming is the current solar cycle that we are experiencing right now. The Sun, our Sun, is entering a period of intense activity and as many who study the Earth are aware, our planets magnetosphere is what protects life from harmful solar radiation.

The Earth's magnetosphere has been acting erratically and the magnetic poles have been moving erratically. These issues are particularly of concern to scientists because a weakening of the magnetosphere is very problematic when the sun is abnormally active. The CME's or coronal mass ejections have the ability to destroy satellites and wreak havoc on Earths ungrounded electrical grid. This is a real threat and one was recorded in the late 1,800's that destroyed the telegraph telephone system that existed then.

This threat combined with the decline of the Global economy, and the Austerity measures we see on T.V. make it increasingly evident that capitalism world wide has been compromised to rampant fraud and the induced indebtedness of every nation by the worlds largest criminal financiers.

Under current estimates, the U.S. and Europe will experience a currency collapse under the weight of these economic problems within the next few years. The solutions to the worlds debt may be the rebirth of the entire world economy, and end to the American economic customs and traditions we now hold dear.

The key decision makers have already amped up the rancour on the instability of global financial instruments, and the worlds middle and lower classes are en-masse letting their voices be heard during this transformation process that seems clearly underway.

While I personally cannot predict the future, I can see clearly and evidently that paper denominated assets, such Pension funds, dollars, 401k's etc. are in jeopardy of being fatally devalued. Americas protests are in large part over union issues, collective bargaining rights and balancing budgets all these are on the heels of the Federal government who itself is monetizing debt as the nations bond sales increasingly produce disappointment.

There is a clear recipe for a rebirth of the entire global economic picture that we have come to know. Those who are aware, educated and prepared for this transformation will fare well while those who are sceptical disbelievers may soon realize the Apocalypse of 2012 was little more than a cruel financial joke played on the worlds working class.    

A Novel Solution To The State Deficit

Some time ago about a year ago today to be precise I said that the economy and local businesses would falter. As our clueless leaders balk at the balanced budged amendment to the state constitution, they shutter at the thought of eliminating yet another 3 billion dollars from our state economy.

The impossible mission is to balance the budget and still have friends show up to your party at the local club. With the new legislature expected to arrive into session in the coming weeks, baptism by fire is apropos in lieu of the burgeoning budget catastrophe. But perhaps there is hope, and in times of turmoil it is always good to think "outside the box" something I think I may be good at.

But here is the big idea, and this idea is based on all the technology that I find so annoying. These include texting on your cell phone, X-Box, and like gaming consoles, dollar menu garbage food, game shows, Facebook, Myspace and of course the I-Pod and all those annoying musical devices that cloak people into the matrix of technology.

Safe to say that these technologies have become, in my opinion, as irritating as people who smoke near others, and drink until they have no friends and a reputation for drunkenness. This brings me to the point, how many people would object to being ejected or "taxed out" of the technology matrix.

The countless hours people and kids spend disconnecting from reality is really a disgrace, and on occasion I could personally say that I have witnessed the "looneyness" of texting friends and relatives in the same house. The cellular companies are getting wealthy with this trend alone, and the music industry is cashing in a good sum by selling 99 cent songs, the video game industry is already in "hot water" and is being forced to label their games, and even have recalled some like "San Andreas" a version of a killer road rage game called "Grand Theft Auto."

With our state leaders calling for a "balanced budged" i.e. Gov. Rell and Cafero, who wish to achieve this without raising taxes, should at least consider implementing a win/win tax approach to the financial malaise now at hand.

Nothing would give me more pleasure than to see a new tax implemented against the digital matrix of society. This in my opinion would be a blessing, a tax that makes gizmo's more of a luxury than a commodity. This of course could be thinly disguised as the lifeline our state so desperately needs. Why not tax it into the abyss? And as a last note stop sending "weed" smokers to prison for years and years shorten their sentence these people are "stoned" and the punishment does not fit the crime 3-6 months is plenty. Lots of savings there at $55,000.00 P/Y per prisoner.

NASA Discovers 10Th Planet

And no, I do not think this was the star Jesus was born under, even though it looks like a cross in the sky.

Eris was just named a little over a year ago, and many scientists prior to its naming have known it as 2003 UB 313. The discovery of this planet was attributed to perturbations in the neighboring planets.

These perturbations, or disruptions in planetary dynamics is what led to the search for the mystery planet also known as planet X during the search phase. This planet may have also been depicted by the ancient Sumerians as Nibiru. For many years Eris has evaded detection because of its elliptical orbit that travels outside the norm of our regular planets. The size of Eris is estimated at 1.27 times the size of Pluto making it a dwarf planet.

While there is some controversy as to the date this planet will be visible it is expected to pass closest to the Sun in the year 2258 completing a 557 year orbit. However this number does not agree with that of the ancient Sumerians and the Aztec's who claim Planet X will pass our Sun as soon as 2012 completing a 3,600 year orbit. For this reason it is entirely possible that Eris is not the same planet mentioned in the ancient tablets.

However, this new planet also has aroused the attention of some in the religious community who have said on numerous videos on the web that Nibiru at its closest point will dramatically impact the Earth. There already may be some strange coincidences going on now, some in particular is the magnetic disruptions at the earths poles, and the accelerated slowing of the Earth's rotation. These could very well lead to extreme cosmic influence over Earthly dynamics resulting in the unbeliavable stories mentioned in the Bible.

At its closest point Eris will look like a "Bright Orange" cross in the sky, (only visible with a telescope) likened to the description's of the "End of Days" written in the bible. How the ancient Sumerians knew of our planetary arrangement in the solar system is yet another astounding mystery to emerge from the Iraqi region. Unfortunately, the U.S. led invasion into Iraq has resulted in the loss of many priceless artifacts belonging to the ancient Sumerians who were the first modern civilization to accurately chart the Solar system.

One last point to mention "Eris" is the greek goddess of "strife" and "discord" perhaps a fitting name for the celestial object that may have been responsible for colliding with our planet earth, hence creating our moon. Also Eris may not be a planet as it has been the subject of the same scientific disagreement as Pluto.

Religious zealots can relax, I gave this my best shot and can firmly conclude that this is not the "death star" mentioned in the bible. It does not even to appear to be the mystery planet mentioned by the Sumerians either.
