Is Rosa Delauro's Marriage a Conflict of Interest?

Our Congresswoman Rosa Delauro is introducing a bill (Banning Organic Farming & Regulating Home Gardening, HR 875 & S 425 (Mar. 13, 2009))
that works well with Codex Alimentarius (If you do not know what that is please google it because it becomes law the end of this year and it will be your new food.)

Delauro is responsible for protecting the public health, however, her husband a Monsanto Foods executive is emblematic of the concerns raised & explained in the below video. Monsanto's program equates to the equivalent of a U.S. malnutrition agenda, while Delauro is attacking farmers from the back by discouraging organic farming not under U.N. or Codex Control, Monsanto is profiteering from the front end with new Genetically altered Demon Seeds. Regardless of how you add this up it will ultimately result is serious consequences for human health.

Anyone who personally knows Rosa Delauro should ask her to explain herself on these issues, and ask why we should trust a company like Monsanto, or the U.N. rules under Codex Alimentarius, furthermore does she support "handing over" our farmers rights to the globalists and their agenda.

Farmers Speak At Durham CT Fair

This evening I attended the Durham Fair up in Durham Connecticut. These types of dairy and livestock fairs have become somewhat more routine over the last few years as My step daughter is a member of the 4H club and is actively involved in competitive cow showing.

The experience has been enlightening, and my travels far as last month I found myself up at the Big E in Agawam Massachusetts. This was an opportunity for me to have several conversations with farmers, and also to learn the wisdom behind Ghandi's famous words that "Life is one indivisible whole" every action in our lives affect others and today that realization has made me even more aware than just a month ago.

While in Durham I met with some of Connecticut's top dairy farmers, and I asked them what they thought were the main concerns facing farmers in our state. One thing immediately came up, and that was that sales are down but only because of the low fat, diets that Americans have undertaken. Since the advent of video games, and our sedentary lifestyle more of us than ever have developed weigh issues that consequentially eliminate fat from our diets. This reduces the demand for our dairy farmers fatty products limiting what they are able to sell.

Another issue they mentioned was the broader economic competition from farms across America. While most farmers here in Connecticut get tax breaks on their land that equate to an average of $400.00 per acre in tax, they do not have the undocumented workers that other western farms use to gain a competitive advantage. One thing I personally know for certain, from my endeavors in trading produce at Hunts Point in NYC price and quality is everything when it comes to trading food. Connecticut just cannot compete with the rest of the country on many products, except Milk and some dairy.

The cost of gasoline is making imported products more expensive, so the less distance they travel the better the price. Many farms here in our state receive federal grants and subsidies to ensure their continued operation during difficult times.

When I asked about the food situation relative to the National economy, both these gentlemen felt that America has more than enough food to feed ourselves and other nations like China who purchase many of the high fat products we snicker at here in the states. It was their opinion that there is no cause for concern that America will run out of food anytime soon.

One question I had in particular was the use of GMO foods, or those that are genetically modified. Both these gentlemen were well aware of the debate surrounding GMO's but defended them on the grounds that they were good for our farmers. They indicated that GMO's result in more robust higher yield harvests, are more resistant to pests and deliver a good looking highly marketable product. When I asked about how the nutritional aspects of these products relative to us the consumers he did admit that little consideration was given to that as a matter of fact that was secondary to increasing profits. He also said that most farmers here in our state are receptive to the products developed by the "Big Agra's" like the Mosanto Corp.

In summary both these people felt that the overall health of the industry in our state appears to be vibrant, with lots of interest from many facets of our state including great clubs like the 4H clubs and several agribusiness/science programs. The overall feeling about farming here in our state is that their is plenty of room for improvement but for now, even though its not highly profitable, things are looking good.

Lieberman Warner Bill In Trouble

Thought you would find THIS interesting about global warming since the Lieberman Warner Global Warming bill may be in trouble. I also sent a copy of this E-Mail to Rose Ryan who has been asking me to promote and help with environmental issues.

I have been looking into this global warming problem for a while, and recently became very perplexed when Al Gores Inconvenient truth was challenged in court and found that major portions of his claims were ruled as factually wrong. The loss of this lawsuit in a British court earned Gore's movie a "propaganda" label on videos sold to English schools. This alone did not sway me, because I think judges are not scientists. What did get my attention was when the founder of the Weather Channel, John Coleman called Global Warming a "Hoax." See this LINK for a different opinion on the warming issue.

What has me really upset about global warming is its parallel to terrorism, in that it is a threat that pushes nations into giving up their sovereignty in the name of "saving the earth." It also transfers power to world courts, world police forces, and tries to justify mass global taxation and regulation in the form of a "Carbon Tax." It also has given birth to the corruption prone "Carbon Credits" massively owned by GE. See this LINK: and this LINK:

Global warming is shaping up to be the next phase of the Elite's ultra profiteering scheme in the United States, and they are seeking to label what our families exhale, and plants use to breathe as unacceptable pollution. There is a growing body of scientists who disagree with the facts surrounding global warming, real scientists not Political candidates like Al Gore who have a platform and a Powerpoint Presentation! This is the current list of countless scientist who disagree with Mr. Gore's view. See this LINK:

Another point to mention is that the largest polluters of our environment are volcanoes, we have had several eruptions in the last decade spewing enormous amounts of greenhouse gas into the environment. Just do the math on Mt.Saint Helens, and Mt. Kilowaya in HA. Also see this LINK:

Data involving global warming has been going on for a long time, just a few short years ago their was public alarm regarding "Global Cooling" See this LINK: One other problem is that the outer planets, Mars for instance, absent human carbon emissions have also experienced warming. See this LINK at National Geographic: This suggest the Sun may be getting hotter.

This is only a small bit of drivel about the contradictory data surrounding Global Warming, and before you submit yourself to promoting this concept I would encourage you to be open minded and hear both sides of this story. While I do appreciate many of your opinions, dedication and concern for our environment, I think we should really be working toward removing real threats like Fluoride in our drinking water water (Our Toothpaste's "fine print" Tells us to call a poison control center if we ingest a small amount of fluoride, and yet our leaders tell us to drink it in our drinking water because they care about our teeth!)

We also have mercury issues in the Northeast, and real toxins coming out of smoke stacks like those of United Illuminating, and the garbage incinerator at the CRRE in Bridgeport. We should also be supporting companies like Hypower Fuel who are reducing the noxious emissions of vehicles through Hydrogen technology. www.hypowerfuel.com

For today I believe the greatest threat to the environment is Genetically Modified Organisms, and plants. These threats are now being investigated as the most likely cause of the colony collapse disorder associated with Honey Bees. These crops, indicative of nothing more than genetic vandalism, are also the root cause behind the growing concern of peanut allergies in children, obesity, cancer, and the reduction of beneficial bacteria in the human digestive process; this is due to the engineered nature of the plant to work with pesticides that are good for profit but bad for your health.

Next time you are holding a Strawberry that is really three strawberries fused into one, ask yourself if you would eat a Cow or a Pig that had the same attributes. This link below will bring you up to speed on GMO's as a threat to the environment. SEE STORY While we are left with this type of a menace on our hands, our lovely elite have protected their own organic seeds in an Arctic vault. See this LINK: This article is, in my opinion, an admission to the damage that is currently being done.

In conclusion, just know that there is more to this Warming issue than meets the eye, I believe that the "truth is stranger than the reality we know," keep yourself open minded and focus your efforts to yield maximum results.

Codex Alimentarius and Your Food

Codex Alimentarius is the Latin word for "food code" and was established in 1963 by the Food and Agriculture Association contained within the World Health Organization and the United Nations.

The scope and purpose of the food Codex is to resolve issues pertaining to food safety, these include residual and types of pesticide, meats from animals that may be diseased, unsafe food additives, labeling procedures and many other aspects. In short the "Food Codex" controls everything we eat except it be home grown.

This is especially important to know because the scope of responsibility and level of efficacy is Germain to every American who buys their food from a grocery store. Most of us blindly trust that our interests are being accurately represented and that our food is safe, while others are not entirely content with some of the rules.

One case in point is the new law requiring minerals, herbs, vitamin supplements to be labeled and dosed according to the new codex rules. Many countries who see these items as medicinal in nature fear that their control and regulation, under the authority of the 2008 Codex commission held in Jan. of 2005, has crossed the line from food into medicine. The video excerpt below is from one such person who has added a legal explaination and is worth watching and taking notice of, especially since so many people use the items under review for regulation as medicine.

This change will have a far reaching effect on everyone from Homeopathic services, to body builders, to the allowed nutritional contents labeled on our foods such as cereals. Enjoy the video, and as always feel free to add your opinions.

Rosa DeLauro Tackles Obesity.

Our U.S. Representative in Milford CT and beyond, plans to tackle obesity. On Saturday, November 10Th she introduced legislation entitled (MEAL) or The Menu Education and Labeling Act. The purpose of this bill is to educate consumers of fast food as to nutritional ingredients, these include fat, sugars, sodium, etc. contained in the food we eat.

This is a great piece of legislation and I hope it passes. For one I never really knew how unhealthy fast food can be and to pick on one culprit out of many, I would like to single out McDonald's. This one is one I personally know from eating there myself and also because I saw the "Supersize Me" documentary. If no one has seen "Supersize Me" I highly recommend it as it will enlighten you as to the health effects and nature of cheap fast food.

DeLauro, in introducing this bill does however, appear to be having a change of heart when it comes to the fast food giants. Delauro voted against H.R. 554 or the October 2005 Personal Responsibility in Food Consumption Act. This was a bill that passed the house with an overwhelming majority. This bill also known as "The Cheeseburger Bill" would have allowed for the fast food giants to be liable for wrongful deaths as a result of their product being abused.

Why the change in heart? I cannot answer this but I can say that her voting record on fast food accountability is now inconsistent. My personal view is that rather than allow for the litigation of these big companies they should share in the high cost to hospitalize the low income people who end up sick because of their products. While I am no scientist, I think it is reasonable to assume that the food served by these establishments is of poor quality and a major contributor to diseases like diabetes.

This bill that DeLauro is introducing is a good bill, it is also a good start but I personally feel it does not go far enough in holding these nutritional culprits nearly as accountable as the they should be. I would be really excited to know that this bill is was followed by a 10% health care tax to assist Husky in treating the uninsured, children and poor elderly.

The reason this food exists is because of the food codex or "Codex Alimentarius" and American's despertion for cheap food. The food codex itself must be changed if we are to protect every American. The video below is a funny cartoon of what types of additives can be placed in food to keep the cheap. The main ones are those that allow the food to have a higher shelf life, or cheap additives and fillers that can be cut with quality ingredients to keep the cost down.
