Joe Lieberman Plans To Question Pentagon Ties To Terrorist

Leading neocon in Congress, Sen. Joe Lieberman, responded to questions and indicated that he would investigate why al Qaeda’s now #1 operative, Anwar al-Awlaki, was invited to an official Department of Defense meeting in the wake of the September 11 attacks.

The questions were raised by Luke Rudkowski, We Are Change.org founder and contributor for RT’s Adam vs. The Man, who confronted the senator, citing reports in both Fox News and CBS News.



Lieberman initially dismissed the questions, saying he’d be ‘surprised’ by such reports, but later stated that he “will look into that.” However, Sen. Lieberman suggested that the Pentagon likely did not know who he was ‘at the time.’ This notion is debunked, however, as the FBI repeatedly flagged Awlaki for links to at least three hijackers in the first week after 9/11.

“Well, I’m going to have some questions about that,” Lieberman said, extending his impromptu remarks. “He’s a target of interest. We know that he’s been involved in a series of attacks on our homeland. Of course, he communicates in English on his website. So he’s a particular danger in terms of radicalizing people here in the U.S. who are going to jihadist websites.”

Awlaki is reportedly connected to the Fort Hood shootings, the attempted Christmas Day underwear bombings, the Times Square dud and many other events. Though Awlaki is now considered a target for drone attacks in Yemen as well as the #1 American on the CIA’s kill or capture list, the American-born terrorist was a welcomed guest at the Pentagon, “rubbing shoulders with high-ranking military personnel just months after the atrocities,” according to the Daily Mail.

The event, supposedly an outreach to the Muslim community, was organized by the Army’s Office of Government Counsel. Reports specify that Awlaki was vetted before attending, again, despite having been interviewed repeatedly by the FBI immediately after 9/11 for his links to at least three hijackers. “A former high-ranking FBI agent” who spoke with Fox News blamed an “arrogant” and politically-motivated vetting process at the DoD.



Though Senator Joe Lieberman is an unlikely advocate for exposing the truth behind 9/11, it is important that he acknowledged these questions on record and agreed to look further into the reasons behind them. It is up to the real activists to pressure Lieberman and other elected officials to really investigate the deadly duplicity behind U.S. anti-terrorism policy.

Democrats Steal Elections, Voter Fraud Exposed

It is no secret that Bridgeport was ill prepared for the 2010 vote. What happened was a surprise to many including Mayor Finch who said "Bridgeport can't be remembered as the dimpled chad of elections."

An independent reporting agency asked the Democratic voter registrar what happened and they declined to comment, however the Republican registrar of voters in Bridgeport exposes criminal, civil and blatantly obvious election fraud. All of Acorns activities, a Government sponsored agency, were reported to the Democratic Secretary of State Suzan Byczewitz to investigate.

Some are clamoring that election fraud in Bridgeport was so pervasive, and yet advantageous to the Democratic party in Connecticut that the FBI should open a RICO investigation on ACORN for criminal activity.

What makes Bridgeport's voting so unusual is that the entire country favored Republicans this year, except Connecticut whose entire state and federal elections were thrown in favor of the Democrats. Huge Fire Destroys Several Homes At Wildemere Beach

Last night at roughly 2:30A.M. neighbors frantically called 911 to report a burning house next door to them. By 3:00A.M neighbors claim the house was completely engulfed in flames, and ignited two additional nearby houses.

This evening I questioned firefighters at the scene as to what the cause of the fire was, the only answer they could give was that the "fire was still under investigation." At the scene 4:00P.M. this evening were the State Police Investigation Unit, the Fire Marshall, Insurance Adjusters, and local Milford Police officers.

While authorities were mum on the fire, dislocated citizens were quick to blame the Milford Fire Department for "taking over 25 Minutes to arrive" the person living in the white house in the photo below said that "had the Milford Fire department arrived sooner, the disaster that is now in plain sight would have been limited to the abandoned house only." He claims that "Three phone calls were by himself and neighbors before they arrived."

The house where the fire started he said was "boarded up, it had no water, no electric, and no utilities. Often the plywood would be torn from the rear door and homeless people or vandals may have been illegally entering the house."

Thankfully, there was no loss of life and according to early news reports 11 people have taken shelter across the street at St. Gabriel's Church. Residents at the moment are concerned over the security of their belongings in some of the less damaged areas of their former homes. The damaged buildings were still very accessible as of this evening and measures were being discussed to allow local displaced residents back into their homes to reclaim any belongings if deemed safe to do so.

While there was no official understanding as to who was responsible for the home that caught fire, some have claimed the house may have been a "Developer owned foreclosure."

The Ct Post reported "The two-family house at 38 Laurel Ave., where the fire started, was sold in December by Roland Ruby to developer Ronald Standish for $80,000, according to city land records. The two-family house at 42 Laurel Ave. is owned by John F. and Elysa Simpson, and has an appraised value--70 percent of its market value--of $219,880."



The above photo depicts the abandoned Milford home that burned to the ground. This was the abandoned home where witnesses said the fire started. Three homes behind this home also suffered severe heat damage to the side exposed to the fire.

The only info I don't have is the times the calls were made, but based on typical dispatch times for MFD, I'm confident there was no delay in dispatching the call.

When people are waiting for an emergency response, that 3 minutes can feel like 25 minutes.

As far as how fast the house burned, it was 4 am! People probably didn't even know it was on fire until it was almost fully involved. By they time the FD was notified and arrived, it was too late to save the initial structure and they abandoned that operation pretty quick to try save the exposures (adjacent structures).

Many of the displaced residents and neighbors kept saying in the news that there were kids and others that didn't belong there going in and out all the time, but how many reported it to the police?

Polanski Saga Finally Ends

The heavily criticized Milford Board of Education ended the Harvey Polanski Saga last night by agreement. The closed door agreement entailed a payment of $110,000.00 an extension of his health benefits and an immediate suspension of his other benefits.

Milford's Board of education has taken the job of our schools as a top priority, and has now established a record of intolerance toward Superintendents that act in a manner that creates animosity toward co-workers and an illusion of perverse impropriety.

Firn, the Superintendent prior to Polanski was also paid off for similar controversial behavior. The parents of our children in Milford take their kids education seriously, as they should, they also want our school Superintendents to act in a professional manner and refrain from behavior that could be construed as lewd or lascivious.

Supporters of Polanski, alleged the now former Superintendent, was never permitted to tell his side of the story. This may or may not be true, but those investigating this case have had correspondence with his attorney Mr. Dorsey who on numerous occasions had numerous opportunities to set the record straight.

Polanski's court date is set for February 2, 2010 at the Milford court house. This day will most likely be his arraignment on the allegations made against him. While anyone who knows the legal system will tell you that an arrest is not any proof of wrong doing but rather a method of due process, we could expect his case to be placed before the court for a resolution.

Harvey Polanski, will have his opportunity to tell his side of the story should he so chose and those who accused him will have to take the stand and prove beyond a reasonable doubt that there is a basis in fact in the allegations they made against him.

While it is real easy to blame the the Milford Board of Education for the way this issue was handled, we must not forget that it has never been the role of a board to decide guilt or innocence. The job of the board, has and will remain political, as they are the public liaison who represents the wishes of their constituents who elected them. The people of Milford spoke "loud and clear" in Firn's case some three years ago. This should have been a warning to Polanski, that our community demands high moral standards and is intolerant of anything less than that.

This lesson was missed because the newspapers and Mr. Polanski mired themselves in controversy. Controversy that went back to the Rhorigs, also in court for criminal sexual misconduct. The public also had a suspicion over the investigation at his last place of employment. It could be fair to assume that mistakes were made during his hiring process, that the original decision was marred by the fact a thorough enough back ground check was not completed.

However, in defence of that decision, his stellar record and awards, mesmerized and wooed many people at the time. From the onset, and even amid failing CAPT test scores the Board of Education members gave him high praises. Our boards have an uncanny way of keeping their "blinders on" and ignoring the ugly truth until the apex of controversy no longer can be ignored. If anything his critics should be accusing the MBOE of being overly complacent, not "harsh, unfair or extreme."

The decision to rid our schools of this unfortunate situation was, in my view, a good one, and the Milford Board of Education Chairman Mark Stapleton should be commended for signaling yet again that our town will not tolerate, ignore or protect any conduct that is damaging to the image of our school system.

Sincerely, I hope that all Mr. Polanski said on record is in fact true. The people of Milford will be watching as his day in court approaches. Should he be vindicated, I am certain his reputation will be restored and action will be taken against those Principals who bared false witness against him.

"Code Red" Alert Issued In Milford's North End

After a rash of burglaries in the north end of Milford, the local Police Department went on high alert. Chief Mello ordered a higher police presence in the post Rd, Orange area of Milford. The "Code Red" warning system, an automated high speed dialer, was also used to call area residents and warn them to be vigilant and watchful of their property.

Early reports, indicate that two men in a dark colored vehicle were breaking into homes. One report suggests that a garage window was broken and the latch to the garage was manually released hence making it possible to break in.

Other reports indicate that these crimes took place at the point of entry to the rear of the targeted houses. The doors were sometimes inadvertently left unlocked, or were breached by the burglars.

There has been no mention by the police of what items were stolen, or what the value of those items were. These crimes are also on the heels of other burglaries that took place on Riverdale Ave. in Devon earlier this year.

Homeowners are asked to please set their alarms, notify their neighbors if they leave for vacation and lock all their doors. Anyone with information, or is witness to suspicious activity in our community is urged to call the Milford Police Department immediately. Their phone number is 203-878-6551

Milford Police Release Video Of Accident In Orange

The above video was released today to the New Haven Register and depicts the accident that occurred some months ago involving an officer and two young adults who later lost their lives.

The newly released video has led some to believe that speed was a factor in the accident. For more information on this story see previous posts from last week.

Milfords Schools In A Leadership Crisis

The New Republican dominated board of education is being sworn in today, and their first day on the job will be a nightmare. The crisis in leadership however is nothing new to some legacy board members who expunged the last Milford Superintendent in a similar swarm of controversy.

Harvey Polanski our Current Milford School Superintendent who won high and lavish praises from our mayor Jim Richetelli is now mired in a second wave of controversy. This time the Richetelli favorite is accused of lewd and lascivious acts toward two female Principals who made the allegations against our superintendent.

This is the second time this year that Mr. Polanski found himself in the news, for those who may have forgot last August he was investigated along with Republican Board of Education member Joanne Rhorig.

Rhorig resigned from the Board of Education after a firestorm of controversy occurred surrounding her household and numerous allegations of illegal activity. Charges were made that Polanski attended a party where known sexual predators lived, and underage drinking was ongoing in his presence.

Harvey Polanski is currently put on administrative leave. This occurred after an emergency closed door session of the Board of Education voted on an emergency response to the two principals allegations.

According to local sources an outside investigative agency will be hired at an undisclosed sum of taxpayer money. The investigators are expected to conduct a fact finding inquiry into the allegations made by the two Milford principals.

The Milford School System, will temporarily be under the direction of Michael Cummings the Assistant Superintendent. Larry Schaeffer previously took the post once before after our former Superintendent of Schools Gregory A. Firn "exercised poor judgment" and undermined confidence in his leadership by his handling of a situation involving a coach accused of sexual assault.

The board said "Firn's actions regarding a letter of recommendation for former coach Robert Dulin would be considered in the Superintendent's contract negotiations in June." Firn later Resigned of his own recognisance.

This years case may be much more egregious and prove to be an even poorer choice of a candidate for Milford's top paying job should these allegations be proven true. Aggregate factors already overshadowing our current Superintendents administration has also been the terrible results of the CAPT test scores, a test vital to the graduation of Milford's High School students.

The Republican dominated administration holds a majority on every board in the city of Milford except the Planning and Zoning board of which they hold an even stake. The rebuilding of our schools leadership will be at the helm of the incoming administration.

Most onlookers in the know, however, have been less than impressed with the Richetelli record on education of which now includes the towns second Superintendent being mired in troubles, failing CAPT test scores, standing room protests over 180 teachers having their employment threatened, objections over the Jonathan the Law additions, and controversy over media aides being let go and then rehired.

Eight Injured After Honda Careens Into Sun Nail And Spa.

Last night at about 5:00P.M. a woman described as being in her 50's lost control of her vehicle in the parking lot of 487 Bridgeport Ave. The woman was driving a Mid Size Honda Civic. The result was a terrible accident whereby the veicle drove through the all glass entrance of the Sun Nail Salon.

The vehicle struck a nail station, and subsequently injured eight people, four seriously. Fortunately there were no fatalities. The woman involved in the accident told the police that she "mistankenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake."

The accident happened after she had services rendered at the establishment. The car drove completely into the store and stopped after it struck the far right hand wall. This incident marks one of the most horrific accidents involving people so far this year.

The business is currently partially boarded up and closed for business as efforts are underway to restore and repair the significant damage to that business establishment. Local newspapers have been reporting on this story today, and yesterday evening.

Arrest Made In Zion Hill Murder

An arrest has been made in the murder of a New Haven man here Sunday night, police said this morning.

Police plan to announce details of the arrest at an 11 a.m. today press conference at Police Department headquarters.

The victim, of Jose Chevere, 28 of Putnam Street in New Haven, was fatally shot in a wooded area off Zion Hill Road, near Wheelers Farm Road, not far from Interstate 95.

Bridgeport police found the car the victim was believed to have been driving, a 2000 tan Honda Accord, with Connecticut license plate 797 XNT, in the 400 block of Newfield Avenue of that city.

The car was then "forensically reviewed as evidence," according to Offier Vaughan Dumas, the police spokesman.

The fatal shooting was the first homicide in Milford since July 12, 2007, when James Street killed a roommate in a local motel. The South Carolina man was sentenced in June to 10 years in prison.

Some residents in the Zion Hill Road area said the murder scene has been a hangout for teens and that trash, including liquor bottles, is routinely strewn around.

Packaging from a decongestant used to manufacture crystal meth, a hallucinogenic drug, has also been found there, neighbors said.

Police today arrested a 22-year-old West Haven man in the murder of a New Haven man who was gunned down on Zion Hill Road Sunday evening.

Police said they expect to make additional arrests, and would reveal very few details about the arrest or a motive except to say it was a “drug related incident.”

Eusebio Melendez-Ventura, of 162 Spring St., was arrested Thursday morning and held on $1 million for the murder of Jose Chevere, 28, of Putnam Street, on Sunday.

Melendez-Ventura was charged with felony murder, first-degree kidnapping with a firearm, and conspiracy on both charges.

Police spokesman Officer Vaughan Dumas said at a press conference at police headquarters this morning that the incident is drug related, and Chevere knew his attackers. Police learned that Chevere went to Melendez-Ventura’s home Sunday evening and was taken at gunpoint by Melendez-Ventura and another individual to Milford, Dumas said.

He added there is evidence that Chevere was physically assaulted prior to being shot to death on Zion Hill Road. Dumas declined to reveal anymore specifics of the crime because additional arrests are expected.

Local Residents "Shook Up" Over Neighborhood Murder

Zion Hill Road residents said Monday the gunshots that rang out Sunday night, marking the city’s first apparent killing this year, and the grisly discovery of a body that followed, have disturbed the calm of the secluded neighborhood in the city’s north end.

“I knew it wasn’t fireworks. It was just the sound, and the way they were fired. The deliberate way they were fired,” said the Zion Hill Road resident who placed the lone call alerting police to the slaying Sunday night.

“There were two shots, then a pause, then several more in quick succession.”

Police were still waiting Monday night for the state medical examiner to confirm the identity of the man who was found dead Sunday night on the side of Zion Hill Road with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police have tentatively identified the victim as a 28-year-old New Haven resident, but are waiting for confirmation from the medical examiner and notification of the victim’s family before releasing his identity.

A 2000 Honda Accord police believe was used by the victim was found on Newfield Avenue in Bridgeport Monday afternoon and is being forensically reviewed, police spokesman Officer Vaughan Dumas said.

Police were called to the area of Zion Hill and Wheeler’s Farms roads at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report of gunshots.

The man who called police after hearing eight to 10 gunshots said the discovery on the edge of his property was unsettling.

“You don’t want stray bullets flying around you,” said the Zion Hill Road resident, who declined to give his name.

The man said he called 911 after hearing loud noises that he was sure were gunshots.

He said he thought someone was taking shots at a deer and went to investigate after calling police. The Zion Hill Road resident wasn’t able to find anything.

The police who showed up quickly discovered a body about 5 feet off the road in a wooded area near the 911 caller’s property.

“It is a little nerve-racking finding a body basically on your property; this is not one of those things to take lightly. It really brings you up to modern times. It could happen anywhere and now it’s happened here,” the man said.

“Forensic evidence” was found near the body leading police to believe that the man was killed at or near where the body was found, police said.

Francis D. Amico, another Zion Hill Road resident, said he didn’t hear the gunshots and was unaware of the shooting until told by a reporter Monday.

He said young people sometimes drink on the street because it is so secluded with so few houses.

“But that’s been going on for the last 80 years,” Amico said.

He said he wasn’t fazed or made nervous at all by the apparent killing.

“The cops will take care of it and it’s none of my business,” Amico said.

The victim was not carrying identification, which contributed to the delay in making a positive identification.

He is described as a Hispanic male with a “chin-strap” style beard and short hair, police said.

He was 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 165 pounds, police said.

He was wearing a two-tone brown and beige long-sleeved shirt, denim jeans, a wide black belt, white Nike sneakers, and a two-tone hat, blue with a brown brim, Boston Red Sox hat.

His left hand had long fingernails, with an exceptionally long fingernail on his pinky, police said.

Police expect to release the victim’s name today.

Two Teens Dead After Crash With Milford Cop

ORANGE -- Two local teenagers were killed in an early-morning crash on Route 1 when their car collided with a Milford police cruiser driven by an officer returning from helping West Haven police quell a disturbance.

The 3 a.m. crash, at the intersection of Dogwood Road, left David P. Servin, 19, of Sheldon Court, dead at the scene. The vehicle's other occupant, Ashlie M. Krakowski, 19, of Fernbrook Road, was extricated from the wreckage, but later pronounced dead at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven.

The driver of the Milford cruiser, Officer Jason Anderson, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Anderson was returning to Milford from West Haven, where Milford officers had been dispatched to join police from area communities in assisting West Haven handle a disturbance.

His cruiser collided with the teens' vehicle, traveling in the opposite direction, when their vehicle made a left turn into the path of the patrol car, police said.

The accident is being investigated by State Police at the request of the Orange police chief.
